Rheian Davies is an award winning solicitor who is passionate about social justice.
Rheian qualified as a Registered Mental Nurse in 1994 and held senior clinical and managerial posts before deciding to become a lawyer, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2006. In 2008 she set up DH Law LLP with Philip Hill which became DH Law Ltd in June 2012.
Rheian regularly holds public authorities to account in judicial review proceedings. Rheian currently heads up our Mental Health department but also practices employment law as well as general civil litigation. Rheian also conducts personal injury cases for mental health patients who have been injured during the course of restraint.
In 2011 Rheian was awarded Legal Aid Lawyer of the year in recognition of her dedication to Mental Health law. Given her clinical background Rheian is often instructed in professional disciplinary matters representing doctors, nurses and paramedics.
In her spare time Rheian enjoys cycling along London’s waterways with our office dog Scrappy Doo. She is also a member of the executive of the Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers and has campaigned vigorously over the last year against the legal aid cuts that she believes will restrict access to justice.
